The Women's & Girls' Fund
Established by area women over
a decade ago, the Women’s & Girls’ Fund is a permanent endowment
that will continue to benefit women and children in northwestern
Connecticut
for generations to come.
As the Fund’s membership
grows, so does its ability to make a positive impact within our
communities.
Annual grants are made to nonprofit agencies that provide programs and
services aimed at enhancing the lives of women and children throughout
the Foundation’s 20-town service area.
A contribution of any size
entitles the donor to membership in the Women’s & Girls’ Fund.
New members who make a multi-year pledge of $1,000 or more become
Charter
Members and are recognized as such in the Foundation’s annual Community
Report.
Each year, members convene
an Annual Meeting of the Women’s & Girls’ Fund, at which
time the entire membership is eligible to vote on fund initiatives and
grant awards.
We encourage you to join
over 130 area women in their quest to improve the quality of life for
women and children in northwestern Connecticut (see membership form
link below).

Applying for Grants from the Women's and Girls' Fund
Nonprofit organizations that
provide programs and services benefiting women and children in the
Foundation’s
20-town service area may apply annually for grants from the Women’s
& Girls’ Fund (applications are available online annually in
May).
The deadline for 2010
Women’s
& Girls’ Fund grant applications has now passed. Thank you to all
who
applied. Current applicants will be notified of their application status
in
September.
